So far I’ve spent the day doing spring cleaning. About 15 lbs of closet and bathroom stuff are now gone. Considering there hasn’t been a single moment in about five years where I didn’t have some sort of beardishness, there is zero need to keep aftershave around. It was probably kept for the same reason I kept that electric razor I only used twice (if that).

Today I realised that no one I know understands Cubase, Logic, Ableton, or any digital audio workstation for that matter, and it made me pretty sad. There should be at least one friend for each weird hobby we have. What is a skill that you have that you wish your friends had?

Hey everyone, I just finished consecutive hour 36 of being awake, so no great entertainment from me tonight. Instead, sleep.
Here’s a secret before I go, though- stay up much longer than you normally would, and when you lay down your sheets will feel at least twice as smooth and soft. It’s not sorcery, silly, it’s because your nerves are damaged and your brain isn’t working so well!

I exist far better as an abstraction or an idea of a person that you know has a bit of info and two strong opinions in any subject, that you can call at 2 a.m., than I do as a real person. In that former context I’m pretty much going to make your week.

This weekend I hope to pick up another cheap tripod. I got so fed up with my last cheap (meaning both low-quality and inexpensive) tripod that I left it in a garbage can downtown last Spring. Time to get night photography going again.
